Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation Commissioner Pravin Kumar has recently assured that all the urban development projects which are pending under JNNURM would be completed by July, 2016.

PWD plans construction of Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) in Amritsar corridor no.2 from Bhandari bridge loop excluding railway portion development at grade road portion.

The Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) project is under construction at Pimpri Chinchwad. The four corridors are Pune-Mumbai highway, Aundh- Ravet road, Nashik Phata-Wakad road and Kalewadi phata-Dehu Alandi road.

In first phase only two routes - Sishu Bhawan-Vani Vihar and Jaidev Vihar-Nandan Kanan will be implemented. The state department has tied up with Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology (CEPT) University from Ahmedabad to prepare DPR in this regard. This project will be implemented in 2 years.

Establish bus rapid transit system in Naya Raipur. In this regard, consultancy services are being sought for plan and design. The work is likely to start in 4 months and completion is targeted by 2014.
