Feb 05, 2021 Defence Ministry gives nod to acquisition proposals worth Rs 28,000 crore The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) under the Ministry of Defence has approved acquisition proposals worth Rs. 28,000 crore. Six of the seven acquisitions, amounting to Rs. 27,000 crore, would be sourced from Indian entities. The proposals for which Acceptance of Necessity was granted include weapons, platforms, equipment and systems.
Dec 20, 2019 TEJAS MARK 1A LCA The Indian Air Force (IAF) and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) have fixed the price of the Tejas Mark 1A light combat aircraft (LCA) at about Rs 310 crore per fighter. HAL is awaiting a formal contract, worth some Rs. 26,000 crore, for 83 Tejas LCAs that the Ministry of Defence has already green-lighted for purchase.
