CIDCO starts levelling work for Navi Mumbai airport

CIDCO has started the basic work mainly land levelling work of the Navi Mumbai International Airport project. As of now, the crucial stage II forest clearance is awaited from the Union ministry of environment and forests (MoEF). Cidco is likely to undertake the cutting of 92-odd metre high Ulwe hill. The tender worth Rs 2,000 crore for hill cutting is not yet finalised.
