LNG fuelled bus launched in Kerala

Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas plans to use LNG for mass transportation and bring the carbon emission in the country as well as save on foreign exchange. As a step forward, Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas has recently launched India's first LNG fuelled bus in the presence of Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan at Thiruvananthapuram.  Petronet LNG Ltd (PLL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd and Tata Motors Ltd jointly made it possible to introduce LNG as a fuel in commercial vehicles in the state capital.
