PM lays foundation for two metro rail corridors in Mumbai

The Government of Maharashtra is keen to improve the urban transport in the city of Mumbai. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently laid foundation stone for two metro rail corridors in Mumbai. The first project is Metro 2B which comprises the D.N. Nagar to Mankhurd corridor covering 23.5-km. The second project is a 32-km Wadala-Ghatkopar-Mulund-Thane- Kasarvadavali Metro-4 corridor. The projects are estimated to cost Rs. 10,986 crore and Rs. 14,459 crore respectively.
