Airports Authority of India (AAI) plans to undertake expansion of the Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport (JPNI)'s terminal building. The groundwork has started after the state government has approved transfer of land for the project. Bidding process has started for the selection of Project Management Consultant who would prepare the design for the terminal building extension. The terminal extension would include two-storey swanky building with the the departure lounge on the first floor and arrival area on the ground floor. The new building will also have provision for six aerobridges.The construction work is likely to start by June, 2017.
