Karnataka Govt plans Satellite city to decongest Bengaluru

Government of Karnataka plans to build a satellite city to decongest Bengaluru. It is likely that the new city will come up in Kolar Gold Fields so that it can relocate people from Bengaluru to a nearby satellite town. The new city may come up over 11,000 acre of an abandoned mining land which belongs to Bharat Gold Mines Ltd (BGML).
