Jammu and Kashmir is all set to see the launch of India's longest highway tunnel at Chenani Nashri. The 10.89 km tunnel is constructed at a cost of Rs 2519 crore between Udhampur and Ramban in Jammu & Kashmir. The opening of this tunnel is likely on April 2 by the Prime Minister. The benefits include reduction in the travel time by approximately two hours and leading to fuel saving. The tunnel boast features like Video Surveillance System and Integrated Traffic Control System (ITCS) among others.
