Seven STPs commissioned under Namami Gange Programme

The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) is the implementation wing of National Ganga Council which was set up in October 2016 under the River Ganga (Rejuvenation, Protection and Management) Authorities order 2016. Union Minister of State for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Vijay Goel has informed Rajya Sabha in a written reply recently that so far in the last three years, 7n nos. of Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) have been commissioned on the bank of river Ganga under Namami Gange Programme. 27 Nos. of STPs are under construction.
