Four / Six laning of national highways in Karnataka
Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, Shipping and Chemical & Fertilizers Mansukh L. Mandaviya has informed the upper house recently about the four and six laning of National Highways Projects in Karnataka. 146 National Highways projects are earmarked for conversion to 4/6 lane in the state of Karnataka for the year 2017-18. The current year outlay is Rs 6,861 crore. During the year 2016-17 a total length of 240 km, and during the present year up to end of June 2017 a total length of 49.6 km have been converted to 4/6 lane in the state.
