Indian Railways plans Elevated corridor for Mumbai

To decongest railway network in cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru, Indian Railways is mulling an ambitious plan to build elevated rail corridors above the suburban rail network. As per the preliminary estimattes, the Mumbai project is likely to cost Rs 25,000 crore and would take 3-5 years to complete. The elevated corridor will provide safe commuting and will be equipped with elevators and escalators
