PRQ September 2011 [Focus: Green Projects]
The focus of this issue of PR-Q is all about green initiatives and projects. The approximate value of all the projects covered is Rs 1,05,950 crore. The projects are classified as per categories and also marked as conceptual or under implementation. More than 300+ projects are listed with contacts which are under various stages comprising 40 projects at conceptual stage, 35 under implementation, 78 operational projects and updates on 50 projects. Besides this we have also listed out around 83 IGBC/LEED certified Green Building projects which are mostly completed. Renewable energy projects are the prime focus of this issue.

PRQ June 2011 [Focus: Government projects and contract awards]
The focus of PRQ-June 2011 edition is on G2B (Government to Business) Opportunities i.e. Government Projects and ‘Contract Awards’ information. The opportunities tapped are targeted for the SME segment. The opportunities range from a few lakh rupees to thousands of crore. One can participate in Government Projects mainly through public procurement route. The tenders or bids are invited for all kind of government projects be it construction of roads, bridges, highways, sewerage treatment plant, water supply infrastructure, housing etc. Our team has done extensive research in tracking tenders issued in the last six months and tried to figure out their current status. In around 10% of the cases we have found that due to poor response, bids are re-invited or are scheduled for a re-bid. Many of the bids are under evaluation stage. Once these bids are finalized, the information covered can be helpful in tapping the sub-contracting opportunities. We have provided more than 425 Government Projects & Contract Awards information worth Rs 57,000 crore covering a wide spectrum of sectors and states. Out of this around 117 are contract awards, 140 JNNURM projects and projects from various Government bodies and institutions. More than 40% of the projects are from the construction sector. The Government projects include those under bid evaluation, execution or planned by Municipal Corporations, Development Authorities, Public Works Department, Housing Boards, Government Enterprises, Railways, Jal Nigam, Drainage Board, State Electricity Boards, Government Infrastructure Development Corporation, Health and Family Welfare Departments, Biotech councils, Sports Development Authority, Port Trusts, Education Department and so on. We have covered around 45 sectors in this issue. This issue carries a brief of the rural and urban development programmes too. The Government development programmes such as Bharat Nirman comprising water, road, telecommunication, irrigation, housing, and electrification component are also covered and statistics are also made available along with the same. Attempt is made to provide the reader a glimpse of the various government schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and Indira Vikas Yojana.
