UK-based SRAM & MRAM Group has announced that it will construct India's tallest tower in Mumbai. The construction company said that the multi-use building of 110 floors will be constructed in the Parel-Sewri area of Mumbai.

The Vedanta group firm Hindustan Zinc (HZL) is planning to invest Rs 8,270 crore to convert its diesel-fired mining vehicles into battery-operated ones and also to fully turn a green energy user, over the next five years.

Electric vehicle (EV) charging station business may require an investment to the tune of Rs 1.05 lakh crore by 2032 as the country is expected to need 2.30 lakh such facilities during this period. This massive investment will be required to cater to the growing demand for EVs, which is expected to grow at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 39 per cent.

In addition to the already existing seven wayside amenities (WSA) equipped with EV charging stations, the central government has provisioned for 137 more such facilities to be built on India’s national highways. NHAI is developing WSA across Highways and Expressways. Presently, seven WSA facilities are equipped with EV charging stations.

GurujeeKumaran Swami, Vice-Chairman, United Kingdom-based SRAM & MRAM, announced that the group will invest Rs 2 lakh crore in Odisha to set up semiconductor unit in the state. The announcement was made at the Make in Odisha (MIO) Conclave, 2022.

The Tata Group aims to open small exclusive Apple stores across the country. The iPhone maker is tying up with Tata-owned Infiniti Retail, which runs the Croma store chain, for the venture. Infiniti Retail will become an Apple franchise partner and intends to open 100 such outlets of 500-600 sq ft each at malls as well as high-street and neighbourhood locations.

The government will increase the number of airports, water aerodromes and heliports to 200 in the next five years from 145 currently to boost air connectivity, and asked eight states to lower exorbitant VAT on air turbine fuel.
