Gujarat State Aviation Infrastructure Company Ltd plans to undertake development of greenfield airport spread over 2,500 acre at Hirasar village, Rajkot in Gujarat state. Union ministry of environment, forest and climate change (MoEF) has accorded environmental clearance (EC) to the new airport project. The project is expected to become operational in the next five years.
