The Power and Electricity Department of the Government of Mizoram has issued a Request for Selection (RfS) for setting up 20 MW of solar power projects at Vankal Solar Park, Khawzawl in Champhai district of the state. The tender has been issued under global competitive bidding, and the last date for the submission of bids is January 23, 2020.

Salem Municipal Corporation (SMC) has installed solar panels on its building in all four zones under the smart city project. These panels would generate 40,067.50 units of electricity a month and approximately 1.46 crore units a year.

KSEB has signed an agreement with Keltron to generate 807 kw solar power through installation of the roof top solar panels on the buildings at the identified locations and release the power generated to the KSEB grid. Plans to set up 200 MW rooftop solar power project in the Kerala state. Out of this, 150MW will be generated by setting up rooftop solar power generating units on the consumers premises. The remaining 50 MW will be based on EPC model.
