The Nashik zone of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has completed the task of laying underground cables in Panchavati, Old City, Nashik Road and Cidco areas of the city — the most densely populated areas — measuring around 150 km.

The state-owned power generation utility Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) has taken up installation of pilot 35-megawatt solar PV project with 57 MWH Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at its Kutch lignite thermal power station. The project to be executed with the support of Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) and Energy and Petrochemicals department, Gujarat, will cost Rs 334.54 crore.
