Karnataka is set to get Rs. 8,298 crore for upgrading its power infrastructure under the Centre’s Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), which will improve the power distribution infrastructure, especially in northern Karnataka. GESCOM plans to set up 42 power stations with a capacity of 33 kw each, and 13 stations with a capacity of 66 kv each, under the RDSS.

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd, which supplies electricity to over 7 million people in North Delhi, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the state-run National Power Training Institute (NPTI) for conducting capacity building training for personnel in the power distribution sector and for students.

KSEB has invited expressions of interest for the supply of 200 electric vehicles and 1,000 special purpose EVs, along with setting up charging stations for commercial operations in the state. Part-I is for the supply of cars for the transportation of KSEB officials. Part-II is for special purpose EVs to replace jeeps.

GSECL has invited bids for the design, engineering, supply, procurement, installation, and commissioning of 60 MW grid-connected solar power projects at various substations of the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO) in the Kutch district of the state.

MSEDCL has invited bids for 444 MW of decentralised solar projects of 500 kW to 2 MW capacity under component A of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) program in Maharashtra. Bidders could participate as an individual or group of farmers, cooperatives, etc.
