Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor inaugurated 22 power transmission and distribution projects costing Rs 216 crore at Samba. He said that J and Ks power infrastructure, which remained dilapidated for the last several decades, is being transformed at a fast pace. The new power projects will meet the power supply demand of the citizens as well as the industrial sector.

The civil works will be undertaken by J&K SICOP Ltd. The works of power supply will be taken up by the Power Development Department.
