IHG has opened its first Holiday Inn hotel at Sector 90 in Gurugram. The hotel is a part of a mixed-use development, V3S Sapphire 90, which offers shopping, retail, multiplex, food court, restaurants and more.

Tipping Point Hospitality Pvt Ltd is coming up with 110-room Holiday Inn Goa Candolim in the western Indian state of Goa. The beachfront property is likely to open in November 2019. IHG has signed a management agreement with Tipping Point Hospitality in this regard.

IHG has entered into a management agreement with Lotus Trans Travel Pvt Ltd to establish four hotel properties under the Holiday Inn brand in Bodhgaya, Kushinagar, Gorakhpur, and Shravasti. The properties will be operational between 2020 and 2023.

Franchise agreement with the JHV group for two new properties in Varanasi. First property would be a 300-room hotel named Crowne Plaza and another a 180-room Holiday. Both hotels are targeted to be operational by 2021.

Shantha De Silva, head of South West Asia from UK-based hospitality chain InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has recently told reporters that the group is targeting opening of 100-150 hotel properties in India over the next ten years.
