Government approved 6 major road projects in Meghalaya At least six road projects in Meghalaya will be funded by the Centre.

The Centre has announced new sanctioned projects worth Rs160,000 billion to improve the Northeast’s infrastructure and security. NitinGadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, announced the stateby- state distribution and sanction of funds among the eight states.

NitinGadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways has approved road projects of nearly Rs 1,322 crore in Haryana and worth Rs 573.13 crore for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The project would provide fast movement and good inter-district connectivity in Haryana.

The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has approved to raise over Rs 35,600 crore loan to pay compensation for land acquisition for their development. The move will provide a major push to the Virar-Alibaug multi-modal corridor and Pune ring road projects.

Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, approved a slew of new road projects, valued at Rs 68,000 crore, in four Northeastern states to make international standard surface connectivity.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed a $177 million loan agreement to upgrade 450 km of state highways and major district roads in Maharashtra. Under the Maharashtra state road improvement project, two major district roads and 11 state highways, with combined length of 450 km will be upgraded to two-lane standard across seven districts.
