Assam is planning to double its solid waste management (SWM) treatment capacity by 2026, owing to rapid growth in waste generation. Assam, the DPR (detailed project report) is ready for 42 Urban Local Bodies (ULB) to establish new SWM treatment plants at the cost of Rs 64.37 crore, with a capacity of 527 tonnes per day (TPD).

The Andhra Pradesh Government has approved the detailed project report for the construction of Machilipatnam Port. As per the new DPR the port would be completed in 36 months at a cost of Rs. 5,835 crore.

Launching one of the largest infrastructure and connectivity projects in northern Maldives, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) commenced work on the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the Hanimaadhoo International Airport expansion project. A delegation from AAI visited the Maldives this week.
