Dehradun Airports first phase upgradation to be completed Soon

The first phase of AAI-run Dehradun Airports upgradation work, including construction of a new domestic terminal building, is expected to be completed by next month. New Terminal Building in Port Blair Airport

The new integrated terminal building at the Port Blair airport will be ready by mid-2021. The airport currently handles around 18 lakh passengers annually, and the new terminal building will be able to handle about 50 lakh passengers per annum. More than 65 per cent of project work is completed.

Expansion of Surat Airport Terminal

The much-needed expansion of the terminal building at Surat airport is likely to be delayed by 11 months due to the Coronavirus lockdown and a long delay by the Centre government in issuing environmental clearance. The contractor, Siddhi Constructions, has requested AAI for an Extension of Time (EoT) of 253 days.

Flights to be start in soon from Deoghar Airport

Flight operations from the Deoghar international airport in Jharkhand will begin in the first week of November. The airport terminal is expected to be completed by December and the routes will be finalised soon. Spread over 657 acres, the airport will comprise a new runway and a terminal building on 5,130 sq m area.

Multi Level Terminal in Leh Airport

AAI is constructing a new multi-level terminal building at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh, which would enable it to handle around 20 lakh passengers annually. The new multi-level terminal is expected to span approximately 19,000 sq m at an altitude of 3,256 m (10,682 ft) above mean sea level.

Expansion of Ayodhya Airport

The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to expand the airport at Ayodhya. The proposed Shri Ram Airport will be expanded by up to 600 acres. The state government has decided to upgrade it to international standards. The state government had earlier decided to acquire 285 acres of land for this airport.

Terminal and Runway to be completed soon

The tender process for construction of an airport terminal and runway under the Airports Authority of India has been completed for Hollongi Airport. The airport, would be built over an area of 320 hectares. The work for the greenfield project has been awarded to Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon Pvt Ltd.
