Kochi Metro Rail (KMRL) has invited expression of interest (EoI) for the project to come up in Kakkanad. KMRL is planning to implement the project through public private partnership (PPP) basis on Design Build Finance Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) model.

Involving Public Private Partnership (PPP) model and enhanced indigenisation for the metro rail systems in India, the Delhi Metro has awarded the first contract for the lease and maintenance of Lifts and Escalators for the three priority corridors under its ongoing Phase-IV expansion

The National Highways and Logistics Management (NHLML), a special purpose vehicle (SPV) that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) fully owns, plans to award 15 more contracts on multi-modal logistics parks over the next three years in public private partnership (PPP) mode. The parks will have 50:50 funding model.

It is estimated that Indian Railways would need capital investment of Rs. 50 lakh crore up to 2030 for network expansion, capacity augmentation, setting up freight terminals, station redevelopment, rolling stock induction, etc.. For this, it plans to use the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model in several initiatives.

The government will soon start auctioning of six more airports under public private partnership (PPP) model. These are at Amritsar, Varanasi, Bhubaneswar, Indore, Raipur and Trichy. Additional investments by private players in 12 airports in the first and second rounds are expected to be worth around Rs. 13,000 crore.

National Highways Authority of India plans to undertake Four/Two laning with paved shoulder of Gadu – Porbandar section of NH-8E from Km 263.200 (design chainage km 287.430) to Km 356.766 (design chainage Km 379.100) in the State of Gujarat through Public Private Partnership (PPP) on Hybrid (Annuity) mode.

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is engaged in the development of national highways in India. The highways authority has decided to construct a six or more lanes expressway between Nagpur – Hyderabad – Bangalore Expressway, having an approximate length of 1100 km through Public Private Partnership on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer basis.

Lighthouses are planned to be developed as a Tourist attraction. Around 78 lighthouses across the country are identified to be developed as tourist spots on Public Private Partnership mode. Identified lighthouses are listed below:

Angul-Sukinda railway link project is under implementation in public private partnership (PPP) model. This project aims to provide connectivity to steel plants in Angul, Keonjhar-Bansapani iron-ore belt, Talcher coal field and Kalinga Nagar industrial belt. RVNL is implementing this project. So far around 28 km of works is awarded. The work has commenced in January.
