The ministry has allocated Rs 1000 crore for the project, which will be utilised to construct a flyover at the Kapriwas and Bilaspur Chowk and Bawal. The infra upgrade also involves developing a bypass and an elevated road in Dharuhera and Mansehra respectively. The authority plans to develop 4 flyovers, 5 bridges, 11 bus bays, and much more by 2023.

The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has sanctioned highways project under the Bharatmala Pariyojana scheme. The proposed highway will come up in Andhra Pradesh. The construction of four-Laning of NH-71 from Madanapalle to Pileru in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh under Bharatmala Pariyojna has been sanctioned at a cost of Rs 1,852.12 crore.

The Elkaturti-Siddipet (N-765DG) road widening work in Karimnagar parliamentary constituency, is now on the track. The sanction of the Elkathurthi-Siddipet road widening works was proof that the Central government was working in good faith for the development of infrastructure in Telangana.

The Union Minister for National Highways and Road Transport approved a project worth Rs 1200 crore to upgrade the existing two-lane Shiradi Ghat road into a four-lane highway. The four-laning of NH 75 will accelerate the economic growth of the region. The union minister has instructed the NHAI to study the proposal to build a six-lane tunnel through the Shiradi ghat.

After two years of approval, the Union government sanctioned Rs 221.03 crore for developing a 9 km bypass road for Gudiyatham. The bypass will ease congestion at Gudiyatham bus stand and private college junction.

The NH 44 from Hyderabad to Bengaluru, passing through Kurnool and Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh, will be developed as a Super Information Road. Along with digital information system, the four-lane road will be expanded into a six-lane highway with an estimated cost of Rs 14,000 crore. The DPR will be completed within the next three months and the road works will begin within 12 months.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh is going to build another new road connecting Rayalaseema with Vijayawada which will be constructed from Giddaluru in Prakasam district under Greater Rayalaseema to Vinukonda in Guntur district. The National Highway project will be named NH-544D from Giddaluru in Prakasam district to Vinukonda in Guntur district.

The Karnataka Cabinet has cleared a Rs 482-crore project for extension of an elevated corridor in the Varthur area in south east Bengaluru. The project involves extension of an existing 1.3 km elevated corridor by a further 1.92 km at an estimated cost of Rs 482 crore.

Giving a major boost to the proposed development of National Highway 185, which connects Kochi-Dhanushkodi highway and Kollam-Theni highway, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has sanctioned Rs 60 crore for the first phase development works of the road.
