The Ministry of Defense has invited expressions of interest to set up a combined ground-mounted and grid-connected floating solar project on a turnkey basis at the Cordite Factory in Aruvankadu, Tamil Nadu. The scope of work involves setting up the projects on the designated lakes and lands.

WBSEDCL is developing a 10 MW (2x5 MW) small hydroelectric project in Lodhama in Darjeeling district of West Bengal on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract basis. The project’s estimated cost is Rs. 51.04 crore.

The company has received a letter of acceptance from Howrah Division – Electrical, Eastern Railway, for design, drawing, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 25 KV overhead equipment in connection with conversion of unregulated OHE to regulated OHE in the Liluah-Bally Section of Eastern Railway.

A jetty of 20 million gallon capacity and pump house along with two drinking water treatment plants of 10MGD capacity each, constructed by KMDA, have been inaugurated. A 112-km pipeline from the treatment plant will supply purified water across Howrah and two 4.5 km pipelines will bring in the untreated water.

The cement maker, with a strong presence in the northeast, is expanding into eastern India with ongoing capacity expansion at Siliguri, West Bengal. The company is already present in the region through leased grinding units of 0.6 MT capacity. The new grinding unit at Siliguri will replace supply from the leased units.

Hidco is inviting corporate healthcare organisations to bid for a seven-acre plot in New Town for setting up a medical college and teaching hospital. Two plots in the Central Business District of New Town have been earmarked for the project. The land area is about 30,000 sq m, which will be allocated on 99 years of leasehold.

Plans to set up two million tpa pellet and grinding plant in Odisha. SLSWCA has given in-principle approval for the project.

Haldia Dock Complex has invited bids for mechanisation of berth No. 2 on design, build, finance, operate, transfer (DBFOT) basis at Haldia Dock Complex (HDC) in Midnapore district of West Bengal. The concession period is for 30 years. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 298.26 crore.

The company has won an order from Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd for the supply, installation and maintenance of the smart mobility system for Phase I, covering two metro stations of the Kolkata Metro. The order is valued Rs. 8 crore.
