The Srinagar-Bathinda gas pipeline is now being constructed and would shortly link Jammu and Kashmir with the National Gas Grid and considerably reduce the LPG prices in J&K.

SHV Energy has expanded its LPG terminal capacity by 30,000 metric tonne in Tamil Nadu at an outlay of about Rs 500 crore. The facility in Tuticorin would be ramped up from 8,500 metric tonne to 38,500 metric tonne, representing an investment of about Rs 500 crore.

Aegis Logistics and the Netherlands’ Royal Vopak will join to form a new company, Aegis Vopak Terminals Ltd, with the aim to grow together in the LPG, chemicals storage and handling business. Aegis will operate a network of terminals located in five strategic ports along the east and west coast of India.

NGC Energy, a JV between National Gas Company, Oman and Petredec India Pte. Ltd, Singapore today has started the development of the LPG Import and Storage Terminal at Krishnapatnam Port. The work is likely to start by December, 2019. The completion period is of 1 1/2 years.

The CPSE plans to undertake the revival of existing LPG Plant at Usar, Distt. Raigad Maharashtra. The aim is to convert the unit into 500 KTPA Polypropylene complex. The plant will be ready by FY2023-24.

Bagged contract for the Supply, pipeline laying and construction along with laying of OFC cable along the entire route of the pipeline, installation , testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning, performance testing and assistance in commissioning and start up, up to handing over for Mundra-Mithi Rohar Cross Country LPG Pipeline. The completion is targeted in 10 months.

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) plans investment to augment the LPG production facility and ramping up storage facility across the Northeast India. The Central Public Sector Enterprise will invest Rs 600 crore to Rs 700 Crore.

HPCL plans to set up a new LPG plant with bottling and storage facilities in East Champaran, Bihar. The project will come up at a cost of Rs 136.4 crore. Environment clearance is in place. The company already has two LPG plants in Bihar at Patna and Purnia with a total bottling capacity of 50,000 cylinders per day.

Essar Ports Ltd is contemplating plans to set up a greenfield commercial port in Gujarat to handle bulk, general cargo, liquid including petroleum and oil lubricants, chemicals and LPG.
