Mar 05, 2022 Rs 12,700 crore approved for Mumbai new bridge project The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), in a move to enable seamless connectivity from Dadar West and Mahim to Coastal Road via Bandra-Worli Sea Link, has proposed to construct a bridge at the Mahim-end of Senapati Bapat Road (ahead of Mahim railway station) which will reduce the travel time at peak hours by at least 30 minutes.
Feb 20, 2022 BMC re-starts water supply tunnel project To augment the water supply in the western and eastern suburbs of Mumbai and strengthen the water supply line network, BMC’s hydraulic department started the project of constructing a 6.6 km tunnel from Veravali to Ghatkopar.

The lowest bid for Aarey main road was less than 18 % of the minimum cost which the BMC’s cleared it and handed to G L Construction Private Limited. Feb 05, 2022 Rs 12,950 tunnel boring project completed The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has completed 2km of tunnel boring for its ambitious Mumbai Coastal Road Project (MCRP). As part of this project, the BMC is constructing two 2.7 km long underground tunnels that will run parallely between Priyadarshini Park (PDP) and Girgaon Chowpatty.
Feb 05, 2022 Mumbai’s first waste to energy plant gets approved The BMC has proposed to build the plant, with 600 metric tonne per day capacity, at the city’s oldest dumping ground on 12.19 hectare area and at a cost of Rs 504 crore. The construction will be completed in 40 months and the plant will generate 4 MW electricity.
Jan 05, 2022 BMC to spend 47 crores on Aarey road BMC will soon undertake concretisation of the 7.38 km main Aarey Road, for which an amount of Rs. 47 crore will be made available. Environmentalists have objected to the proposal saying the concretisation of roads will harm the environment and encourage travellers to use the Aarey Road, also known as Dinkar Desai Marg.
Jan 05, 2022 BMC to improve seven junctions worth Rs 25 crore BMC plans to improve seven junctions and a stretch of the Andheri-Ghatkopar Link Road between Western Express Highway metro station and the Sakinaka junction. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 25 crore. The BMC recently floated tenders to appoint a contractor for the project, who will be in charge of it end-to-end.
