Jul 01, 2014 Six-lane coastal road between Nariman Point and Kandivali Plans to construct 35-km of six-lane coastal road between Nariman Point and Kandivali in the western suburb. The project will have 18 access points along the entire stretch. MSRDC or BMC will be entrusted as the nodal agency soon. The project will be implemented through a joint venture route. The project envisages reclamation of land and construction of stilts especially on mangrove patches. The proposal is submitted to the Centre for approval.
May 15, 2014 Road between Kurla and Vidyavihar stations BMC had awarded the contract the construction of a road between Kurla and Vidyavihar stations four years back. The project comprises 60-feet wide and 950 meter-long road over a nullah behind Kohinoor Education Complex. RPS Infraprojects Pvt Ltd was awarded the contract and work order was issued on January 19, 2010 with a target to complete by December 25, 2012. The work is in delay mode and is expected to start soon.
Apr 15, 2014 Coastal road connecting Nariman Point to Kandivali The Maharashtra Govt ambitious coastal road project comprises 35.6-km long coastal road connecting Nariman Point to Kandivali. BMC is the nodal agency to implement this project. The civic body has appointed a consultant to undertake feasibility study and prepare design that will constrain scope of work that requires NOC from the MoEF. Once all the approval is in place, the project is expected to complete in five years.
