The much-delayed Ghansoli to Airoli section of Palm Beach Road project is moving ahead once again. While Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has succeeded in getting crucial permissions, it has decided to extend the road up to Airoli-Mulund creek bridge.

In the fiscal year 2023-24, the government in line with Prime Minister Gati Shakti-National Master Plan will prioritise and fast-track as many as 18 critical road infrastructure projects

Government approved 6 major road projects in Meghalaya At least six road projects in Meghalaya will be funded by the Centre.

During a recent visit to Karnataka, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched several construction and infrastructure projects worth a total of Rs 6,000 crore. Included in these projects is the laying of the foundation stone for a 65.5 km section of NH-150C, a 6-lane greenfield road project, which is part of the Surat-Chennai Expressway. The project will be built at an investment of Rs 2,000 crore.

The civil construction company said it has incorporated a special purpose vehicle (SPV) company, Maradgi S Andola-Baswantpur Highways, as its wholly owned subsidiary on 28 December 2022. The SPV has been set up for the development of 6 lane access controlled Greenfield Highway from Maradgi Andola to Baswantpur section of NH150C (Package III of Akkalkot KNT/TS Border) under Bharatmala Pariyojna in Karnataka.

The Centre has announced new sanctioned projects worth Rs160,000 billion to improve the Northeast’s infrastructure and security. NitinGadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, announced the stateby- state distribution and sanction of funds among the eight states.

NitinGadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways has approved road projects of nearly Rs 1,322 crore in Haryana and worth Rs 573.13 crore for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The project would provide fast movement and good inter-district connectivity in Haryana.

The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has approved to raise over Rs 35,600 crore loan to pay compensation for land acquisition for their development. The move will provide a major push to the Virar-Alibaug multi-modal corridor and Pune ring road projects.

Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, approved a slew of new road projects, valued at Rs 68,000 crore, in four Northeastern states to make international standard surface connectivity.
