HMSI plans to add 1,000 outlets across India in the next three years. The biggest two-wheeler manufacturer has announced this plan to cater to rising demand from rural India, including smaller towns.

HMSI had gone ahead with the construction of a third line to add 6 lakh units per annum at the Gujarat plant, currently having a capacity of 12 lakh units per annum. The construction was on schedule, but the firm has put on hold a decision on when to start production.

The two-wheeler manufacturer is considering plans to set up a new manufacturing plant in India by 2020. The company also plans investment of around Rs 800 crore towards modernisation of its plants and launching new products.

The company is reportedly at an advanced stage of talks with Andhra Pradesh for setting up its biggest manufacturing Plant in Andhra Pradesh.

Automobile major has commissioned its fourth manufacturing plant in India at Vithalapur in Ahmedabad distict of Gujarat.

The company has recently commissioned its fourth plant for manufacturing scooters targeting 600,000 scooters per annum. The unit is spread over 250 acre and got completed in 13 months

Plans to expand the capacity of its two wheeler production plant at Narsapura industrial area in Kolar district near Bangalore. The company plans to build a new production line within the existing plant site and intends to increase the total annual production capacity of Honda’s 3rd plant at Narsapura to 2.4 million units before the end of 2016.

Setting up its fourth manufacturing unit at Vithalpur in Gujarat. This unit will commence operations by February-March 2016. The company is also contemplating plans for a fifth plant in the eastern region of the country.

The company has recently inaugurated its third manufacturing unit at Kolar district.
