The corporation is implementing sewage treatment plants (STPs) at Beur and Karmalichak under the Namami Gange scheme. Beur and Karmalichak STPs will together treat 80 million litres of waste water per day through a sewerage network of 277km. The estimated cost of the Karmalichak STP is about Rs 77 crore and Beur STP Rs 68 crore. The completion is targeted in next 2 months.

The proposed Integrated Solid Waste Management Plant (ISWMP) at Bainguinim, considered as the centralised facility for the State, will treat 250 tonnes of mixed waste per day (TPD).
