May 05, 2022 Infra projects in 11 MSME Parks to be complete within six months The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited (APIIC) is in advanced stages of creating facilities in 11 MSME Parks out of 31 proposed to be developed across the State. These works are poised to be completed in three to six months. A sum of nearly Rs 750 crore is being spent on external water supply in the initial phases in the two nodes. The Orvakal node which is situated in HBIC got a sanction for Rs 825 crore for the water facility and works costing Rs 420 crore are in various stages of execution. The 11 MSME Parks are coming up at Gurrampalem (Visakhapatnam district), Palamaner (Chittoor), Rapthadu (Anantapur), Ragamukkalapalli (Prakasam), Kongavanipalem (Srikakulam), Peddapuram (Kakinada), Molakaladinne (Chittoor), Kothapalli Korugunta (Nellore), Kotipi (Anantapur), Kappalabanda (Anantapur) and Brahmanapalli (Kurnool). At present, APIIC has a total land bank of 50,964 acres, which includes the largest ones at Nellore (10,801 acres) and Visakhapatnam (10,059 acres). Due importance is given to creating infrastructure in Nakkapalli, Rambilli and Kopparthy nodes, all of which fall in the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC), Krishnapatnam node in Chennai-Bangalore Industrial Corridor (CBIC) and at Orvakal in Hyderabad-Bangalore Industrial Corridor (HBIC). Another thrust area is the provision of assured water facilities, mainly to the Orvakal (Kurnool) and Kopparthy (Kadapa) industrial nodes, which are being aggressively promoted by the government as ideal investment destinations.
