Jan 05, 2022 Foundation stone laid for Rs. 18,000 cr road projects The foundation stones were recently laid for 11 development projects, including the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor (from Eastern Peripheral Expressway Junction to Dehradun) which will be built at a cost of around Rs. 8,300 crore rupees. It will reduce the travel time from Delhi to Dehradun from six hours to around 2.5 hours.

The eastern expressway will connect Palwal in Haryana on NH-2 to Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh on NH-24 and Kundli in Haryana on NH-1. This project aims to decongest Delhi roads. PPPAC recently approved this project.
