The corporation has floated a tender to implement a 2.5 MW DC grid-interactive ground-mounted solar project in the Chettichavadi area. The project has been floated under Salem’s Smart City Mission. Successful bidders must also provide five years of operation and maintenance services.

NTPC is collaborating with city municipal corporations to set up waste-to-energy plants. The company is in the process to set up waste-to-energy plant for East Delhi and Surat municipal corporations.
