United States Pharmacopeia (USP) India is setting up a new continuous manufacturing (flow chemistry) facility in Hyderabad – an advanced concept that would enable the manufacturers to gain efficiencies and flexibility in manufacturing processes. The proposed budget for this new lab is $200,000.

Laying an outlay of Rs. 3,183 crore for augmenting public health in its Budget, the Maharashtra government announced that it is committed to spend Rs. 11,000 crore over the next three years to improve health infrastructure in the state. In the previous budget, a four-year project worth Rs. 7,500 crore was announced for the upgradation and construction of health institutions.

The State government has allocated over Rs. 10,903 crore in the budget for the financial year 2022-23 to the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) department. It's on expected lines in view of the big projects in the pipeline.

The tourism sector in Jammu and Kashmir has got a major boost as the government has made a record budgetary allocation of Rs 786 crore this year, an increase of 184% over the allocation for the previous year.

Delhi Development Authority (DDA) allocated more than one-third of its annual budget outlay of Rs 7,933 crore for 2022-23 for development of roads, drainage, water supply, power lines, in the areas of Rohini, Dwarka and others.

The Shree Jagannath Temple managing committee has approved Rs. 190 crore as annual budget for the 12th century shrine for the 2021-22 fiscal. It plans to generate revenue of Rs 106 crore from earnings, and income of around Rs. 37 crore from interest. It pegs the budgetary expenditure at Rs. 85 crore.

The government has allocated Rs. 4,445 crore for five years to set up the seven integrated textile parks as announced in the Budget. PM Mitra parks will offer sn integrated textiles value chain right from spinning and weaving to garment manufacturing at one location, reducing logistics costs or the industry.

The state government has allocated Rs. 8,727.08 crore, about 3.79 per cent of the total budget outlay, for the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department, to achieve the goals of clean water and sanitation and making human settlements inclusive, safe and resilient.

The city of Hyderabad is all set to get a facelift, with an allocation of over Rs. 11,000 crore for several projects sanctioned by the government in the annual budget 2021-22. Among these are the metro rail, which is likely to make inroads into the Old City of Hyderabad, a regional ring road, and a drinking water project.
