The airport will consist of four terminals and will have parking for 42 aircraft. There will also be a grand parking lot with a capacity for 5,500 vehicles. The airport will be linked to the 22-km Mumbai Trans-Harbour Link (MTHL), which will be the key road connector between it and the metropolis.

The stations on the newly-commissioned Metro lines 2A and 7 will soon have rooftop solar panels. The MMRDA, which constructed these two Metro lines as a part of its 300 km Metro network in Mumbai Metropolitan Region, proposed setting up of the rooftop solar panels at 13 stations on Line 7.

The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), the nodal agency for the Navi Mumbai Metro (NMM) project, has approved implementation of NMM Line 2, 3 and 4 with modified mode of transport vizMetroNeo in place of standard gauge Metro.

The much-delayed Ghansoli to Airoli section of Palm Beach Road project is moving ahead once again. While Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has succeeded in getting crucial permissions, it has decided to extend the road up to Airoli-Mulund creek bridge.

As much as 50 km of metro network will be added in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) in 2023-24. Some of the projects included are; Mumbai Metro line 10 (Gaimukh to Shivaji Chowk, Mira road with a total length of 9.2 km and estimated cost of Rs 4,476 crore.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has decided to extend Metro line-5 to Ulhasnagar via Khadakpada, reports MumbaiLive. This metro network is currently proposed between Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan.

The MMRDA will construct a combined road flyover that will span 2.58 km below the elevated Metro Line 6 at a common pier in the road median.

The arterial Ghodbunder road in Thane connecting western and eastern Mumbai suburbs with Nashik is likely to be widened soon by integrating the under-utilised 9-m service roads along either sides of the highway. The estimated cost of widening could be in the range of Rs 40-50 crore.

To counter the mounting parking woes, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has planned 56 modern parking lots in the city. The civic body has started acquiring plots from the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) apart from resorting to street parking facilities.
