The Noida Authority has earmarked Rs 1,000 crore for acquisition of land for area which would be known as 'New Noida'. The authority also made a provision of Rs 500 crore for land acquisition in the existing Noida area, while it set aside Rs 1,906 crore for infrastructure and development work.

The Greater Noida authority has launched a scheme of group housing projects on 11 plots. With their allotment, the authority is likely to get nearly Rs 950 crore on the basis of reserve price. Allotment is being done through e-auction. It is estimated that 10,000 flats will be built on these plots.

The Greater Noida Authority will set up its fifth sewage treatment plant with an installed capacity of 80 MLD capacity in a 32,000 sqm area in Sector 1 of Greater Noida (West). The cost of the project is Rs. 60 crore, and work is expected to be completed in three years in four phases, where the first phase will deliver 20 MLD water.

Greater Noida authority has decided to spend Rs 121 crore on a project, for initiating a system for door-to-door waste collection across the city and transport the same at the landfill site for treatment. The authority on Monday floated the key tender, inviting companies for solid waste management across the city, who will take up the job and develop an integrated mechanism for waste handling according to the Solid Waste Management Rules 2016

The Special Window for Affordable & Mid-Income Housing (SWAMIH) fund has approved Rs. 249 crore for completion of Panchsheel Greens 2, a real estate project in Greater Noida. The last-mile funding will lead to time-bound delivery to 2000 homebuyers. SBICAP has released the first instalment and Greater Noida authority has also received Rs. 37 crore as part of its dues.

The Greater Noida Authority has received Rs 500 crore for the multi-modal transport, logistics and warehousing hub (MMTLH) from the Union government, taking the total amount sanctioned by the Centre to about Rs. 850 crore. The detailed project report has been made by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation Ltd.

The city is set to get two more sewerage treatment plants by the end of this year. In their final stages of construction, the STPs in sectors 123 and 168 will be ready latest by November 30. Seventy per cent of the work on both plants has been completed and the remaining work will get done by the deadline.

RITES, a Central government agency, has submitted its detailed project report of a Rs 43 crore heliport project proposed in Sector 151A along the Noida expressway. The authority will seek requisite approvals from the state government before floating a request for proposal to select a developer.

The Uttar Pradesh government has asked the Noida authority to work out a plan to develop a new Noida area on 20,000 hectares of land. Noida’s boundaries will expand till the adjoining district of Bulandshahr, and the city will double its size, for which 20,000 hectares will be acquired.
