Masatsugu Asakawa, President, Asian Development Bank (ADB), conveyed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the multilateral bank was ready to provide $20–$25 billion over five years to aid India’s aspirations for green growth. The green growth agenda would drive ADB’s India programme to help the country fulfil its global climate action commitments

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation stone and inaugurate projects worth more than Rs 10,800 crore. According to an official the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone and inaugurate various developmental projects related to irrigation, and drinking water besides a National Highway development project.

During a recent visit to Karnataka, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched several construction and infrastructure projects worth a total of Rs 6,000 crore. Included in these projects is the laying of the foundation stone for a 65.5 km section of NH-150C, a 6-lane greenfield road project, which is part of the Surat-Chennai Expressway. The project will be built at an investment of Rs 2,000 crore.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stones of a ship repair facility at Pandu in Guwahati and the connecting road to Pandu Port, according to an official statement. The statement further said major initiatives worth more than Rs 1,016 crore planned for revamp of inland waterways in Assam till 2024-25.
