In order to achieve zero carbon emission on the campus of Bhopal’s Raja Bhoj airport, the Airport Authority of India (AAI) has launched electric vehicles. The campaign has begun with the launching of two EVs on the campus. Airports are significant sources of carbon emissions due to their large energy demands.

Ahmedabad airport is getting four new aerobridges to enable passengers to go directly from their terminal to the aircraft. At present, there are eight aerobridges at the domestic and international terminals, which will increase to 12, as the phased modernisation of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport is under way.

The Ayodhya airport project has been put on the fast track by the Uttar Pradesh government, with the Ram Manohar Lohia Awadh University approving a proposal to hand over 3,900 hectares of its land, with around 30 buildings located on it. The airport will be officially known as Maryada Purushottam Shriram International Airport.
