According to Mercom Capital Group’s recently released 2017 Q4 and Annual India Solar Market Update, the Indian solar sector has clocked financing activity to the tune of more than $10 billion (~Rs.650 billion) in 2017.

Delhi Jal Board has commissioned a 50 KW Solar PV Power Plant at its Varunalaya Office Complex. The commissioned plant is generating 6600 units of electricity per month and will lead to an immediate saving of Rs 55,000 per month.

Plans 2/4 laning of Watur-Phata-Jintur-Anundha-Basmath Road section of MSH-2 and Hingoli- Anundha Road section of SH-249 in Maharashtra. The road length is 144.408 km. The viability gap funding (VGF) for this project is Rs. 150.60 cr. The environmental clearance is in place. The tendering process is on.

Environmental clearance received for 4 laning of Muzaffarnagar - Saharanpur Road (SH-59) in Uttar Pradesh. The road length is 52.950 km. The viability gap funding (VGF) for this project is Rs.150.58 cr. Tenders will be invited soon.

Plans to implement Bhubaneswar – Paradip Road project covering 93.5 km. This would provide direct road connectivity between Bhubaneswar and Paradip. ISR submitted by IL&FS IDC is under scrutiny. The preliminary report indicates that the road project is not viable with Toll Revenue and VGF of 20%.
