Expansion/ Modernisation of airports is a continuous process and is undertaken by Airports Authority of India (AAI) or other airport operators from time to time depending on the availability of land, commercial viability, socio-economic considerations, traffic demand/ willingness of airlines to operate to/ from such airports.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation is planning to set up 21 new airports across India, and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has taken up the new airports’ development as well as the expansion/upgradation of several existing airports at an estimated cost of Rs. 25,000 crores in the next four to five years.

Manali Sugars is planning to expand its sugar mill in Malaghan in Vijayapura district of Karnataka. The project involves doubling sugar crushing capacity to 5,000 tcd and also increasing captive cogeneration power plant capacity from 10 MW to 30 MW. The project is likely to go operational by June 2021.

Bagged an order from Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) for execution of 1x660 MW Supercritical Ennore Thermal Power Station Expansion Project on EPC basis. The scope includes design, engineering and supply of all equipment, civil works, erection, testing and commissioning of all systems and performance guarantee of the power plant. Completion is targeted in 36 months.

Plans to double its production capacity from 14 million tonne per annum (MTPA) to 25 MTPA by 2023. As part of the plan, the company aims to expand the capacity of its plant at Salboni (West Bengal) and Jajpur (Odisha). The plant capacity of its subsidiary - Shiva Cement will also be expanded. The investment is planned through debt and internal accruals.

The company has proposed expansion of Synthetic Organic Chemicals manufacturing unit at Plot No. 756/10A & 756/10B, GIDC Estate, Jhagadia, Dist: Bharuch. The environment clearance is awaited. The work will start by February 2020 and completion is targeted in 8-9 months.

The company plans to undertake the expansion project for manufacturing of synthetic organic chemicals at Plot No.3103, GIDC Estate, Panoli, District: Bharuch. The capacity will be increased from 10 TPM to 36.5 TPM.

Plans to increase the installed capacity of its edible oil plant at Haldia in West Bengal from 3,500 tpd to 5,500 tpd.
