The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has approved the draft Master Plan 2041 for the capital, paving way for the development and future growth of the city. The master plan proposes to promote clean economies such as IT/cyber hubs, knowledge-based industries, and R&D facilities in Delhi.

Delhi Development Authority (DDA) allocated more than one-third of its annual budget outlay of Rs 7,933 crore for 2022-23 for development of roads, drainage, water supply, power lines, in the areas of Rohini, Dwarka and others.

The planning body of the DDA has approved the transportation plan for the Central Vista redevelopment project.The revamp envisages a new triangular Parliament building with seating capacity for 900 to 1,200 MPs, that is targeted to be constructed by August 2022 when the country will celebrate its 75th Independence Day.

DDA has given final approval for an affordable rental housing complex scheme under its Master Plan of Delhi-2021. The proposal has been taken up in line with the operational guidelines issued by the Centre. It will now be forwarded to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for its consideration and final notification.

The planning body of the DDA approved plans for multi-modal integration (MMI) projects for three Delhi Metro stations. In another decision, plans for the MMI projects for Nawada Metro Station, Uttam Nagar West Metro Station and Janakpuri East Metro also got the go-ahead.

DDA has expedited its plan to create an international business, information technology and information technology enabled services hub in Dwarka. The authority has started the process to appoint a consultant for planning the project and intends to finalise selection by August-end.

The Delhi Development Authority has identified 12 transport hubs to be developed under the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) policy. The revised TOD policy will allow mass public transit agencies to use their operational area like tracks, stations, and depots for development.

The DDAs planning body has approved the multimodal integration plan of Delhi Metros Karkardooma station. After detailed deliberations some proposals were approved, including integrated transit corridor development and street network connectivity plan for the corridor and influence zone, from Sarai Kale Khan to IGI Airport.

East Delhi Hub will be a transit-oriented development (TOD) project, under which a state-of-the-art infrastructure zone will come up. The hub will be developed around the existing Delhi Metro stations at Karkardooma on the Blue and Pink Lines, and will include a massive open landscaped green area.
