Tata Power Discoms to invest Rs 5,000 crore to ensure reliable and quality electricity supply to industries. The company has committed a capex of approximately Rs 5,000 crore over the next five years covering the realms of network and infrastructure improvement and augmentation, technical integration, customer services, safety and others.

Plans to undertake augmentation of water supply to Rairangpur, Anandapur and Vyasanagar under Odisha Mineral Bearing Areas Development Corporation (OMBADC). The project will be executed on EPC basis with a construction period of 24 months. The work is likely to start by September / October 2019.

Bagged a contract from North Bihar Power Distribution Company for supply and erection of 33/11 KV PSS, augmentation of 33/11 KV PSS, 33 KV Lines, 11 KV lines, 11/0.4 KV distribution sub stations, L.T. lines, BPL service connections with metering and other allied works for village electrification covering 622 villages and 221900 BPL consumers in Kishanganj District.

Bagged a contract from North Bihar Power Distribution Company for construction of 33/11 KV PSS, 33 KV Lines, 11 KV Lines, LT lines and to provide BPL connections and allied works on turnkey basis covering 1096 villages and 368334 BPL consumers in Purnia District.

Bagged an order from South Bihar Power Distribution Company for construction of 33/11 KV PSS, 33 KV Lines, 11 KV Lines, LT lines and to provide BPL connections and allied works on turnkey basis covering 999 villages and 236433 BPL consumers in Bhojpur District.

Plans augmentation of production capacity from 200 to 250 HHP locomotives per year in DLW Varanasi. Consultancy bids are currently invited.
