It is likely that the Government would take steps towards divestment of its stake in 8 out of 16 hotels run by India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC). The formal process of privatisation is likely to start in two months. The loss making hotels located at Bhubaneswar, Puri, Jaipur, Guwahati, Ranchi, Jammu, Mysore and Pondicherry would be taken up in the first phase.
