Gail India has planned to implement 2,050-km Jagdishpur-Haldia Pipeline project after eight years of delay. Domestic and international companies like JSIW Infrastructure, IL&FS and China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau (CPPB) have emerged as the front-runners for this project. Laying of the pipeline is closely linked to the revival of fertiliser units in Barauni in Bihar and Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.
