Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has successfully commissioned the first 250 MW power generation units as part of the 1,000 MW Nabinagar Thermal Power Project. The thermal power plant comprises 4x250 MW, being set up by Bhartiya Rail Bijlee Company Ltd (BRBCL), a joint venture of NTPC Ltd and the Indian Railways. The project is located at Nabinagar in Aurangabad district of Bihar. The execution of the other three units is also in progress.
