NLC India Ltd is setting up its third solar power plant spread over 325 acre in Neyveli. The plant would have a capacity of 65 MW in Neyveli and is likely to cost Rs 350 crore. The commissioning is targeted by June, 2017. BHEL is the EPC contractor for this project. Approximately 2.38 lakh solar photo voltaic module each with power generating capacity between 280 and 310watt would be installed. Power will be fed to Tamil Nadu generation and distribution corporation (Tangedco).
