India is moving ahead to tap most of the available renewable energy sources with special emphasis on tapping Solar energy. The country has more than 150 GW of known renewable energy potential including tidal, wave and geothermal apart from biomass, hydel, solar and wind energy. Apart of this mission, the Centre is keen to generate power from tidal waves of the sea. The project will be set up first in Goa using Israeli technology. *Images used for illustration purpose only.
