Airport Authority of India (AAI) plans to build two parallel runways at the Surat airport. The authority has finalised the master plan for Surat airport and submitted it to the Surat Urban Development Authority (SUDA) for its incorporation in its development plan 2035. Earlier in 2003, AAI had signed an agreement with the state government in 2003 to develop and expand the Surat airport. *Image for illustration only
