The passenger traffic handled by Kempegowda International Airport located at Bengaluru is currently growing at 22.5 per cent annually. The work on the second terminal (T2) will be taken up in two phases and expected to commence in 2017. T2 is designed by an US-based architectural firm, will commence this year. On completion, T2 will cater to 45 million passengers per annum. The combined capacity of T1 and T2 will be around 65 million passengers per annum.
